We have everything complete for the show in Marion. When we got the e-mail with the flyer and saw y'all were appearing as well as two of our other favorite groups, we just had to plan to head north. Made reservations today and it looks like we've got some very good seats. Hopefully, the leaves will still be colorful and we will get a chance to journey back south down the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Hope more of your fans will try to make this event. Looks like it's gonna be a good one.

Rainy Expedition To The Ol' Mailbox

Got home from work today - Swam out to the mailbox in rainy Ol' Jawja (8 inches of rain yesterday, and 20 inches over the last 6 days) and discovered that I had become the proud owner of 2 brand spankin' new W&CE T-Shirts. Now, the Ol' Dawg certainly wouldn't tell folks what to do, but, these TWO mighty fine lookin' shirts cost less (S & H included) than ONE shirt by many other artists, and, certainly, less than the price of a Coke and corndog at the local county fair . Besides that, wearin' these fine shirts also promotes a mighty fine group of musicians (And personal friends of mine) to the world !!!

Golf Scramble @ Festival

If you haven't heard, we're adding a first-time-ever "Franklin, KY Music Festival Golf Scramble" to this year's event! There will be plenty of food, fun and prizes (including items autographed by Franklin's own tour pro, Kenny Perry)!!!

The scramble will kickoff at 8:00am, Sunday, Sept 13th, the morning after the festival. Cost is only $45.00 and the sign-up sheet will be at the offcial festival booth.

Rumor has it, the great Herb Sanker will be among us. So, bring your clubs and join in the fun!!!

Driving Back to Tennessee

Good morning everyone! It's about 3:25am EST as I write this. We had a great day in Ladysmith, Va playing at Mr. B's Bluegrass Festival. Had a chance to hang out with our buddies the Bluegrass Brothers, Larry Stephenson, James King, Kenny Ingram...the list goes on.
I finally got to see Larry and Dreama Stephenson's little baby girl, Fallon Whisper. She is just as I suspected...ADORABLE! And of course Dreama had her all dolled up for the show. That little girl is going to be spoiled rotten...I can just tell! We are so happy for Larry and Dreama!

This is only our 2nd trip in our new wheels and we have thoroughly enjoyed it. It is so wonderful to be able to get some rest on the road, not to mention a lot safer. I took the first shift driving tonight and got us about 130 miles from Bristol. Bobby took over and is still at the wheel. I went right to work on next year's Franklin, KY Music Festival flyer. Meanwhile, Wayne listened to some music and Blake played his banjo. Life on the road is pretty darn good and we are mighty thankful for it.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Sunday! Time to get to work on the next project...
